Sandusky

Australian Terrier

Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Gender: Male

Sandy is his name, but we had to keep him separate from another Sandy we have, so we called him for the records and files "Sandusky." He came in on all sorts of medications, some of them antiquated, and with some skin problems. The vet had missed a low thyroid, and with proper supplement he is nice and furry again. He was given up because he and a Yorkie just did not get along in the household. The Yorkie was the instigator, but Sandy was the better fighter, and it was going to end in disaster. Here he is congenial, and gets along with about 35 dogs in his big room in the kennel, and is a joy to have around. He's very handsome and a good dog, without as far as we can tell any attitude problem or "issues" as the kids in Middle School say. He should make a great family pet. The special need is the thyroid medication, but that is a very inexpensive pill that he takes twice a day, and he loves it in liverwurst.
