A gentle and sweet, but very chubby little Chihuahua. He loves to sleep under a blanket. He came in because of sudden death of a family member and the need to move to an apartment that would not accept pets. He was neutered some six years ago, and that's when the weight problem started. We checked for possible metabolic causes of the obesity, and found he was low thyroid. He's now on supplement and has slimmed down beautifully.. But none of this has not affected an unusually sweet disposition for a Chihuahua. He is losing weight and is able to run and play now, something is roly-poly body would not permit before. He feels much better. In the picture with the bandana you can see how he has slimmed down and looks quite trim and healthy. He can fun and play, when previously he was such a butterball that he couldn't do much more than sleep. He will need the thyroid supplement the rest of his life, but it is inexpensive. Thyroid medication is his special need, though he'd like to be loved as well. Rinkydink is in foster care, and if you are interested we can put you in contact with the foster family.
