Max came up from Ohio, braving a snow storm the weekend he came up. He is 4 years old, and somewhat difficult, not your cuddly lapdog. He is diabetic, and requires insulin. He's aware that he needs his shot, and comes asking for it after his meals, but he's otherwise a little standoffish and distant. He is content to sit in a corner and place a paw on his favorite toy, a little rubber ball he is fond of. He is a special needs dog because of the injections, and because of his crankiness, but sometimes there is a reward to kindness shown to these guys, and we hope we find someone willing to take him in. He's fine with other dogs, but kids would be a problem.
