Presented to us as a "Maltese," but no way, she is some sort of terrier mix, with maybe a Maltese as a great-great-grandfather. Maybe a labradoodle, I don't know. About 30 lbs, 4 years old. Lively and active, and somewhat aloof at first, but she has joined in the pack. She was from a home with several very young children, and did well with them. Daisy2Maltese and Dixie have to go together, they are closely bonded mother and daughter. They are very territorial, and bond with the nuclear family. Strangers are considered intruders, so you should have a quiet household without many visitors, else sequester the dogs when friends do come over. The special need is their need to be together.
